Position : Full Time Permanent Contact : Email Contact Email :shana.jordan@hcahealthcare.com Contact Name : Shana Jordan Submission Date : 04/27/2010 Job Description : The project management coordinator is responsible for ensuring successful execution of all Supply Chain Operating Room projects through project planning, tracking, measuring, and reporting progress. This involves facilitating the successful execution and implementation process through the development of detailed project plans in MS Project, updating project plans and project information, tracking project issues, assessing overall risk to project timeline and budget, coordinating bi-weekly project status calls, providing coordination among project resources, and communicating project status to supply chain leadership.
Project Planning:
Ensure appropriate resources, timing, and sequencing of work tasks are aligned
Develop full scale detailed specific project plan and associated communication documents for each hospital. Establish project tracking mechanisms/create "team room" on Atlas.
Project Management:
Monitoring project activities and reporting on status utilizing HCA standard reporting processes and tools. Identifying potential scope changes
Coordinating and integrating team members efforts
Identifying, managing, and reporting risks and issues to leadership. Developing contingency plans. Identifying and manage project dependencies and critical path. Tracking & communicating project milestones and deliverables
Communicating project plan changes, deliverable due dates, and changes in status to leadership
Scheduling and facilitating bi-weekly status calls
Completing PMO status reports.
Project Closure:
Documenting and analyzing lessons learned and sharing with others. Validating the completion of project documentation and relevant knowledge base. Incorporate lessons learned into template project plan. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
College graduate 3-7 years work experience and 1-3 years management experience. Demonstrated proficiency in project management. Strong Interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge of reporting processes and techniques. Ability to work in a team environment. Strong PC skills (spreadsheet, database, word processing, project management applications). Proficient in Microsoft Office PROJECT software application. Knowledge of SMART and Meditech applications is a plus.
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Requires sitting for long periods of time. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a telephone, keyboard, calculator, and other office equipment. Work is often performed under stressful situation. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. Some travel required.
