Job Description : As a Sr. Applications Analyst on the Application Technology Services (ATS) team in Information Systems headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, you will be responsible for delivering custom software, database, business intelligence, Intra- and Internet, as well as clinical solutions that will improve the overall quality and  profitability of Vanguard Health System’s core businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate directly with regional customers and local team members to drive projects throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Manage complex projects involving multiple parties and cross-organization project teams with varying agendas and business priorities towards targeted and scheduled outcomes.
  • Champion the value proposition through early immersion of customer needs, competitive landscapes, technology trends, and business priorities.
  • Own and manage the integration, scope, timeline, quality, communication, and risks for multiple projects.
  • Drive conversations around products and solutions, challenge processes and functionality, gather requirements, and break them down into distilled scenarios and conclusive feature sets.
  • Personally develop and deliver detailed project plans, timelines, storyboards, presentations, specifications, mockups, prototypes, processes, workflows, risk assessments, and scorecards.
  • Balance project constraints while facilitating, integrating, and guiding project teams to ensure we ship quality product and services on time that deliver the required value.
  • Engage and support all levels of staff.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to communicate project objectives, strategy, tactics, and ongoing progress for managed delivery of all projects and deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 year’s project management experience, with at least 3 years leading projects throughout the  SDLC is required
  • Experience working within the healthcare industry is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is required
  • Experience or strong familiarity with the following technologies is required: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Java, SharePoint, SQL, source control, and graphics (Photoshop preferred)
  • Proven ability to design attractive, highly efficient, and functional UI is required
  • A natural desire and ability to troubleshoot and solve difficult problems is required
  • Strong attention to detail, product quality, and overall customer experience and satisfaction is required
  • A friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to develop relationships, build trust, and drive consensus without direct authority across functions and organizations is required
  • Rapid organizational skills, efficient time management, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects of varying size is required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required
  • Project Management Institute certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with McKesson products is preferred
  • BS or MS degree in related field is preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prefer a Nashville based person
  • Travel will be required out to the markets in order to interact with market IT personnel and end customers.
  • Amount of travel will vary depending on projects and tasks that are being worked at any given point in time.  Estimated travel 25 – 50% of the time.
